Emily De la Mora (’26) and Sergio Perez (’13) were presented with awards at the ninety-fourth League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) National Convention and Exposition in recognition of their leadership abilities. Both are selected from a national pool of young adult/collegiate chapters.
De la Mora was recognized as the National LULAC Sweetheart, given to an eighteen- to twenty-nine-yearold woman that embodies the best of the LULAC code and is seen as a developing leader who is respected by her peers within her council.
Perez, Â鶹Դ´â€™ director of the Center for Inclusion and Advocacy, was recognized as the LULAC National Advisor of the Year for his work advising Â鶹Դ´ LULAC Council #380.
